Hi, I have 6 Demasoni fry between 5 to 10mm and was wondering when it would be safe to put them into my main tank? They would be going back in with 4 other Demasoni 2 of which are Mum and Dad and full grown I think, 8 Yellow Labs all still fairly young the biggest being about 60mm, 8 Afra's all about 65mm and some small Rustys in a 1200x450x300 tank. I know when all my fish grow they will out grow the tank and an upgrade is on the cards. The filter is an Aqua One CF1200 so is bigger than what the tank needs and should be sweet with the stock.

At least 3 or 4cm. I just put two dems about 4cm into main tank yesterday after water change. They fit in alright.

If you have a lot of hiding place in the tank. 3 cm probably will do.

But anything smaller will become nice food for your other cichlids....

I use to watch 15ish convicts baby about 1.5cm get eaten alive.... quite fun to watch actually.. :sml1:
