ryanjury
Nice fish, I have kept them before too but didn't really like them, the big male I had was agro as and started beating all my other fish up I think I also remember something about them needing water with high oxygen contents so be very careful with them in heavily stocked tanks.. Other than that I would treat them like normal mbuna, vege food probbaly a min of a 4ft tank don't mix with any other mbuna if you want pure fry etc. They are pretty much algae eaters (hence the shape of their mouths to rasp algae off rocks etc.. phoenixb
thanks - went into the room the other day and found that my air pump had been unplugged and half the fish were at the top gasping for air - so i set up a second pump and 2 450ltr/h filter heads with an airation atachment so there is plenty of oxygen in the tank. i will feed them some peas, algae and stuff see if they like it - ive found that some of my fish eg. lithobates and baenschi - completely ignor most vege that i try feed them but my kenyi and red zebras LOVE it!! did you get any fry from them?
