si_sphinx
Does anyone have these fish? Do you keep them in a tank with strong current or low current? Do you see them often or do they hide a lot? What are their growth rates?

jamosfish
These are amazing plecs and I would highly rec. one, depending on your tank size and it's inhabitants. They can live in either high or low current, I would just make sure that there is some sort of current in there. The thing with plec s is that they are all different. You never know if it is going to be a hider or if it has the confidence to come out all the time. You can normally get an idea by watching it before you buy it. Growth rates depend heavily on Water quality, food and age. Timid plecs tend to grow slower as I believe that they eat less food during the day as they are hinding and not grazing. David R
I have three in my big tank, they're probably the most outgoing and active of all the plecs in the tank. Not fussed about current, just give them good clean water, not too hard, and a good variety of food. Not exactly fast growing, and there is a bit of aggression between the three of them.
