LoveArowanas
hey all. ...Ive been doing some experimenting in this regard, just wondering if there are some rules I should be aware of? I have a couple of Madagascar rainbows, some Kuhli Loaches, a few tetras, emerald eyes rasboros, 2 Kribensis The Madagascars go absolutely ballistic for chicken ...and also love daddy long legs, in fact will have a go at anything live I put in there. So yeah....Im squeezing/washing out out as much oil as I can from any human food scraps I put in there. Is there anything I need to know about inappropriate bugs to offer them? Any human food that is a no-no? Im a religious tank cleaner/water changer FWIW. Once a week
ryanjury
I would probably stay away from most cooked human meats, generally fish should be fed on cold blooded animal meat (seafood) but veges are ok..
ally07
There has been extensive debate about this and most people would agree that raw seafood is the best option. Cooking meat makes it harder to digest which can potentially kill your fish. Some would say that chicken/ beef is bad for fish because it's not in their natural diet so they cannot process it, but most people think that raw, lean meat is alright. Personally I only feed raw beefheart or whitebait as a treat, but definitely not food scraps from my table - save that for the dog lol.
