jc254
So i have a 200 or so liter turtle tank with 2 x snake necks about 4-5cm shell size. Question: how many LPH should i run through this tank? I have a Aqua One Maxi 4F rated at 2000LPH, I have put it on its lowest setting so i dont know how much water its pumping. Can my turtles handle that type of current happily? if not how do i break the current up?
repto
sounds like alot of flow there?you could have a spray bar along one side and even split the flow and build a small rock platform etc with a cascade /waterfall ?if you have a wide flat return area it would slow down the current.A word of caution, make sure your intake is secure and has a good grill of some sort,I have heard of turtles pulling these off and getting sucked on to the pipe and drowning, way smaller flow rate than yours too. spoon
its an internal filter will block up pretty fast especially if you used the foam that comes with it id just let it run at full blast as it will have in a few days as it gets gunked up
