lduncan
It sucks... Unless you have a much bigger one prepared earlier. Started on Sat, transferred all my corals and fish and rock into a 4 foot holding tank (which will become part of the sump for my new tank.) I never knew I had that many corals. Moved the old tank today, half filled it and now waiting for it to get to temp to add salt. Tomorrow I will be moving all the rock, corals and back into the tank. Never again! petplanet
At least you have a tank to transfer it into. The fun really begins when you move house. I moved a single system consisting of 2x4ft curved tanks and a three tank sump. That's when you suddenly regret getting those big tanks. lduncan
I was moving house. My tank is 6', transferred fish corals, and most of the rock, into a 4 foot tank, (I don't know how it all fit in there). I think it's safe to say I won't be moving again anytime soon! chimera
hahaaa, I know exactly where you're coming from Layton, pig of a job! I had to move contents of 4 foot to temporary tanks, then back into 4 footer, then a few weeks later from 4 foot into 5 footer in the wall!!! Part of the reason I got an in-wall - so it would stop me moving house
Fay
I don't know what will happen when we are past running the shop guess we will just have to close it, don't think the locals will like that, thats the problem with living at work
lduncan
One casualty so far, a flame angel, found it minus his head on the bottom of the tank. Two fish are missing in action. A green chromis, and royal dottyback. A couple of acros have some recession, but I can't see any tissue peeling back, hopefully they don't rtn. Fay
Sorry, you must be feeling bad.
lduncan
One acro has rtn'ed, and still no sign of the two missing fish. Luckily everything else looks fine now, but many have browned out a bit. Hopefully they should regain colour quickly. Layton
