si_sphinx
....be ok with cichlids? (frontosa, julies, leleupi) It is about 8cm at the moment. Anyone keep them with them? I have him in my planted tank with tetras and guppies where it is living just fine. But reason i would want to put him in another tank is to give the guppies a chance to breed for a month or two. ryanjury
I have seen them kept together before just watch aggression towards the knife and aclimitize slowely if you have them in different water..
si_sphinx
Ok, so acclimatise slowly for the pH rise and I'll put in plenty of pipes and pots for it to hide in.
DennisP
At larger size it would be okay, they aren't the toughest of fish (physically) and at 8 cm, it's still pretty small so It could be a risk.
si_sphinx
none of my fish are over 10cm so they won't be much bigger than the BGK
DennisP
SHould be okay the. Still watch for aggression though.
ryanjury
I kept them together for a while and had no problems the knife just found himself somewhere to chill out and was happy. Most of a cichlids aggression is directed at fish that are the same/similar to them as they are a biggest threat to their breeding etc
