Guest
I've decided to try breed my peppered corys again. I've got the tank setup but I keep reading that a female can lay up to 300 eggs. Last time I bred them my 2 females were only laying around 25 eggs between them each spawn. I just wanted to know should I seperate the females into the breeding tank by themselves and condition them up by themselves or should I move the group together. Which one will be the most likely to get me the most amount of eggs? The group contains 4 males and 2 females and they are all around 4cms long. Thanks Cam
Bilbo
With most of the corys I have bred I just have a group in a 50 to 100ltr tank with fine sand on the base at 24c. After they have been fed enough good food I would change 1/2 the water with cold. 300 eggs seems like a lot but 25 is not many few. 100 - 200 eggs should be easy enough from a large female. Guest
So I should i put the group in. I don't have any sand to put in though. I just used a BB tank in the past, will it be just as good?
