elusive_fish
Hi, As part of my cafe aquarium project im trying to source some male peacocks and haps. A LFS has some venustus around 3-4cm - is there any way of picking out a male at that size? Would it eventually get big enough to eat a demasoni? If so, how long would it take for that to happen? Thanks for your help!
ryanjury
There is almost no way of sexing them that small, mine didn't start colouring up until around 8cm long and that was only the faintest hint of blue in the face.. They will eventually get big enough to eat a dem, mine are definitely big enough now after 3 years growth but haven't eaten any dems or even (unfortunately) eaten any of the smaller surviving fry in the tank..
