female dropped eggs

My black hm has been squeezing his lover for the past two hours eggs coming out although i was noticing he was finding it hard to squeeze her sometimes it his first time .

But the thing that has me a bit worried is she just dashed across to the heater and dropped at least 60 eggs and he wasnt even squeezing her never ever seen that before.

He picked up the eggs and put them in the nest and she has followed him back and they are still mating .

I dont think this is normal for a female to drop eggs without the male squeezing her

Mine did, on 3 attempts. She was dropping them and eating em.

I had a go a few months ago at breeding and although they didn't actually do the deed, she dropped her (unfertilised) eggs everywhere which they both ate. I believe its quite normal.

my opinion to this is that when the pair are learning to wrap alot of pressure would be built up in the female as the male squeezes but does not release the eggs. this happened to my spawn the other day but they still managed to breed successfully

The eggs were not fertile its the second time ive tried him he still only 4 months old so hopefully next time i try him he will have learnt from his past mistakes .Will give him a month off have a nice pair of hms arriving soon so will get them conditioned plus have my hm frys which are nearly ready for sale soon

if he is only 4 months old he may be too small to wrap the female

yes think that was the trouble as the female was a bit bigger than him also tried a smaller female but that was a failed spawn also have plenty of other fighters to breed from so will wait until he gets bigger
