Alan
Decide which species you want to breed Then do some research on them. With most of the dwarf cichlids, ya can get away with a 600mm tank. Make sure there are hiding places for one or the other if they get scrappy. Feed them up separated for about a week or two on live food. Keep them in sight of one another. Maybe just put a divider in their breeding tank. Make sure you know how they breed, eg. cave or open spawner and have a couple of choices set up for them. Oh, by the way, make sure you get a pair, watch the tank from where you are buying them and you can normally see the males flirting with their preferences. Make sure the shop assostant uses two nets to catch them, they don't get too stressed that way, and you've more chance of getting the right two.
