Guest
Is he flaring at her? Sometimes they're just not interested in girls. Is he usually an aggro fish? You can try change the cup to a lid or a bit up poly and if he's usually an aggro fish you can put a different male in a clear container in the tank like the female is which will get the other male building a nest unless he's usually a passive male which could just stress him out more. Also why are you breeding a CT to a HM?
Brett1970
Hi Cam he seems a very lively fish chases the female around tank and she keeps coming back to the cup so their is hope . Will try a yellow lid thankyou and the girl is a ct my mistake .
N1CK
They don't always have to build a bubble nest, some still manage to raise a spawn with no nest at all
Ashzbetta
if you have another male with a bubble nest you can use a spoon and spoon some of its nest into his, it can help them get the idea
