AquaVitamins
Hello everyone My guppy is covered in like white flaky bits, and she is swimming very weirdly, like rocking around as she moves... I have dosed the tank with blue meths, but my question is, what do i do about water changes once i have dosed the tank? Do i leave it for a week? Thanks
ryanjury
Do you mean meth blue? Or have you chucked some meths in there.. I am unsure if meth blue would help with the symptoms that you describe, meth blue is usually used for fungal type infections which is white fluffy pieces usually sticking out of wounds.. Muzz
Hope you mean Methylene blue and not blue meths. What filtration is on the tank ?. Methylene blue will have some affect on the bacteria in your filter. Make sure water is well aerated and reduce flow to filter. I would do a large water change (50-60%) after three days and add carbon to filter to remove the rest of the methylene blue and do small (15-20%) water changes daily for a week till bacteria in filter grow again.
