RochelleMay
Hey Guys, about a week ago I fished a GOldfish out of my parents fish pond He was tail up head down - looking constiapted So I gave him peas and now he is swimming fine but... He has this Lump on his lip that Has grown bigger over the week. I have had him in shallow water and Salt for the past week but still not helping his lump and he is lethargic and pale in colour. He is not swimming tail up anymore so The peas fixed that, but I just want to know since the salt hasn't worked what else could I do? Or Do you have any ideas of what it could be? At first I thought fungal but when I have seen fungal infections before they have been like w hite fluff where this is a actual lump. lmsmith
Sort of looks like his jaw's been damaged, or dislocated. I don't know much about goldfish, so have no idea if this is common. Is he showing any other signs of being in pain? Is he eating?
RochelleMay
Ha yeah I don't know much about goldfish either. I just happened to walk past and see him struggling in the pond. Hes eating and pooing. Otherwise he has gone very pale in colour and is lethargic, and just rest on the bottom of the bucket. I do have the water shallow but that was more so he could reach the food when he was having trouble swimming to get the food at first. RochelleMay
So I put in some Furan 2 as the salt wasn't working with the lump on his lip. However before I put in the Furan I increased the water level to check his swimming and he is swimming head down tail up like he was when I first found him - I thought the peas fixed that but it must have looked like it was fixed with the shallow water. So I now know the head down isnt due to constipation - but what else could it be? The Furan has been in there for 2.5 days now but still not noticing a difference in him. Once I finish the furan treatment what can I do?
