Hey Guys,

Just wanting to know What Kribensis are like? What requirments they need?

I have just setteled my tank after a rough patch, the current inhabitants are

2 Synodontis Decorus

2 Pearl Gouramis

3 Discus

2 Kuhli Loaches

Will also be adding at a later date

2 Tiger Plecos. Or similar.

Possibly 2 GBAs

Possibly Black Ghost Knife

Rainbow Shark Definatly

Would Kribensis go with these fish? We have lots of caves for them to choose from.

Otherwise do you have any other ideas of something cool and pretty?

We have previously had

Tiger Barbs

Dwarfe Gouramis

Honey Gouramis

Range of Different Tetras

So would like something different to these for a change. :)

Id definitely watch out if you brought a pair however you do have the room for a pair to live with your other fish just set up a lot of different hidey holes etc around the bottom of the tank.

Females are more colourful than males they get a bright pink/purple belly, however they may not colour up that much when kept away from males and not in breeding colours..

Oh they have heaps of hiding holes. I also was reading through past threads about putting their cave in one corner so fish know to stay away. I have a couple coconut halfs that I will put together somehow in a corner - which hopefully they like as their cave.

So you think kribensis should be ok?

What else would you recommed? Just for more ideas, I think im set on Kribs but you never know. Im always scared about putting new things in I have never had.

I think the kribs would be ok, putting caves or anything they may use for breeding in one corner is a good idea gives the other fish more room..

You could always consider cockatoo's as well might even be able to do cockatoo's and kribs, a friend of mine locally has nice cockatoo's for sale at the moment..

Heres a link to some photos of my ones so you have some idea what they will look like, the photos are of my pair which were brother/sister to the parents of the ones he has for sale.. That was when they were very young the male got those orange blotches all over his tail and back of dorsal fin when he matured but I didn't get any pics of him before he jumped.
