Blueram Posted September 15, 2004 Report Share Posted September 15, 2004 I have a three clown loaches which I bought to take care of some of the snails in my tank. They are doing a great job and hardly see any snails now days. If I was going to treat the tank for whitespot, do I stick with the standard dosages for Malkon or do I reduce the dosage down do to the clown loaches sensitivity? Any thoughts? Doc Holiday Posted September 16, 2004 Report Share Posted September 16, 2004 Turn your temp up to about 28.C white spot can't survive in this temp and as alan said keep dosing for three days after the last sign of any whitespot, the malkon should be fine. Alan Posted September 16, 2004 Report Share Posted September 16, 2004 It isn't a case of the white-spot not surviving, they just go faster thru the process of attaining the swimming part of their life, coming into contact with the chemical, and dieing.
