bulldogod Posted November 14, 2008 Report Share Posted November 14, 2008 What sort of lights are people using for there lizards? Had to buy one today and all they had was Arcadia 15w, 6% uvb,$65. rockwork Posted November 14, 2008 Report Share Posted November 14, 2008 hae we can get them down here if you want us to get one for you, but we foud that they dont last that long. we use a 5% and a 8% repti glow fluro bulb and we also have a sun glow for back up.(its in the turtle tank at the mo) we can get them all down here at resonable price. Insect Direct Posted November 15, 2008 Report Share Posted November 15, 2008 i was gonna ask the same thing a couple weeks back, always interesting to know whats been used and available here :lol: ive only had one mercury vapour bulb and it was awesome..........for a few hours then she burnt out :evil: not cool @ $50+each. There are a couple of brands overseas that are suppose to be more reliable but untill someone starts bringing them in and at an affordable price ill stick to fluros i use the sylvania reptistar from electrical shop which spoon mentioned above for memory theyre 20-30 each but prices vary. I think theyre 5/6% uv output but not sure i also take dragons outside for abit of sun when the weathers good. also read of people using gro-lux (ppl use them for tomatoes :roll: ) tubes but not sure how effective they would be for reptiles in all honesty Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
