nicmack
I have what I thought was a standard bristlenose and I had not seen it out and about for around a month, I discovered it underneath a large rock and it did not appear to be alive..... I kept checking on it for a fortnight and then viola last night it was out and about in the tank and had grown absolutely massive - is this normal when they get a bit bigger?? MarkLB
Weird I've never seen my BNs do that.

lmsmith
When you say it grew massive, what are we taking about? Is it still the same size as a normal BN? Does it have bristles?
nicmack
yeah I was looking at is closely to see if maybe i had a pleco on my hands but it grew really large in the head area! and still has bristles
mr pleco
not sure really without seeing before and after shots what yr exactly describing but plecos are nocturnal and if hidey spaces are not available he will hide mostly during the day and sleep alot this will seem like hes dead but quite alive when yr sleeping so sounds quite natural to me
