Guest
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: Awesome they've really come along. It's good to see that they they've grown into good fish for you. I just need to get rid of the bigger ones of that spawn so I can make room to perfect the CTs although he does look like he's a full CT. Anyone know how much CT would be in them? Also still have some for sale if anyones interested
Dave+Amy
How many more have you got left Cam? These lil things jump out of the water when they see me lowering whiteworms in pretty exciting! It took Amy forever to get a good photo of them and then it took us even longer getting the photos on this lol
Guest
lol. Once you put on a few photos it's easy. I've probably got 150 left. It's really cool watching them jump out the water to grab their food.
Dave+Amy
haha they're like rabbits! you should strike up a deal with a petshop - there's a new petshop onda corner of waiwhetu and white lines east they don't have any fighters at all. Now another q - do we have to keep the male and females separated when they're older (if they fight) and if we don't have time for them to breed? Guest
I keep my male with my females and they don't fight or breed but thats because they're in a community tank so if they did breed the eggs would be eaten. If they males and females do fight you might have to seperate the depending on how aggro they are. The females are easy to sell to the pet shop but the males have to have fairly long fins other wise it's hard for the lfs to sell them. Dave+Amy
sweet that's cool, how severe could the fights between them get?
Guest
They males could kill each other but if you have a few places for them to hide they should be OK. Just remember that if you take one of the males out you can't put it back in.
Dave+Amy
since I'm setting up a new nano tank for the fighters - would a ratio of 2 females : 1 male be alright? Or are the females also territorial too? It's a 38L nano, am going to fully plant the tank too once I get my hands on some white riversand.
