JK
Nice one Virgil, the family grows! I sat down and had a good look at my tank on the weekend and trying to work out what fish to get next. I am really lacking in ideas at the moment! :-?

Cheers, the Gourami's look great, powder blue in colour. Will grab a couple more later, like the reddish stripped ones. The Mrs is very keen on a Siamese Fighting Fish, there are some lovely looking bright red ones at the lfs. But i know they can be in danger of getting nipped. Especially seeing as we have 5 tiger barbs, though ive read in groups of that number they tend to stick to themselves. They certainly havent bothered the neons, though at times lastnight i saw them all grouped together checking out the Golden Algae eater! J.K what fish do you have at the moment? SpidersWeb
Watch out with the golden algae eater (chinese algae eater). They're cute at first but as they grow they usually become aggressive, and you may find it sucking on the side of the gourami. For algae the more peaceful options are bristlenose, or siamese algae eater (imported in to NZ as Siamese Flying Fox I think, they're usually either SAE's or Flying Foxes, both are good at algae consumption) (otos are even better but harder to keep). I had 5 at one stage, were great (active/colourful) until they started to get older. After a few months I had to get rid of them. Just something you should keep in mind. (the Mrs liked it and wanted, i know a great way to choose a fish!) Id love to get a BN, but have yet to see any around to buy.
SpidersWeb
haha I know what thats like. Do it myself. Ask around here, I was giving away my baby bristlenose (nothing left now though, and sold my breeding pair). Usually can be found for quite cheap outside of pet stores as they're fairly easy to breed. The young ones are fantastic at cleaning, golden or common, they're like little algae machines. Only tanks I never had bristlenose in were tanks with fish eggs or tanks with fish that would eat the britlsenose (oscars etc) then I'd use a redspot/common plec. I assume it would be ok to add a BN to our tank with the Golden AE already there?
JK
J.K what fish do you have at the moment? At the present I have a pair of giant danios and 6 glow danios plus a pair of dwarf rainbows and I did have pair of blue rams but now have only the one. Oh and a couple of Juli cats too. Am thinking first I need another female ram and then i am thinking some kuhli loaces and a couple of bristlenose. Tanks about the same size as yours. Thats what im after too, knowing my tank is way to small for the Clowns, ive found i love the look of the Kuhli's The Blue Rams look great too, dont think they would be suited to my community of neons and Tigers. You need to post some pics mate 8)
