sorcha
Was just moving my small holding tank into another room and found lots of baby Melanochromis auratus's, I had thought she was holding but then she didn't seem like she was, so unfortunately i'd put her back in the main tank so I don't know if they're meant to protect the babies for awhile? These are very tiny so most likely just released when I started draining the tank! I hate to think how many I sucked up the other day doing a gravel clean! Anyway I've only managed to catch and find 6 and move them to another tank so who knows how many more there were, still it's cool that they were happy enough to breed
