mitzy
Did you watch them the whole time ? If not then it may be possible that they have done it look in the nest and you should be able to see eggs or maybe shes not ready yet. Did you feed them up well before doing this ? Was she full of eggs?

Guest
Is the female hiding down one end and the male hanging around the bubble nest?

Guest
Is she going to the nest and having a look? when mine breed my female hides until dshe feels safe and then goes up to the nest and has a look. He'll chase her away lots and lots of times but eventually she'll stand up for her self and won't swim away , when she does he'll breed with her and she'll decide when she wants to stop "doing it" and then he'll go tend to the eggs and nest while she goes along the bottom and eats any uneaten food until he starts chasing her away from the nest and thats when I take her out.
