nicmack
I just overhauled my discus tank - well I got rid of duck weed the best I could and removed a large amazon sword that was covered in algae, crud and other stuff - the question is now I only have a driftwood and a tall grass would the discus be happier with a replacement large plant? or the open swimming space? - is it likely to bother them the change? PuffaDragon
more plants they like to be able to hide
Discusguru
Deffinately the open space and better water quality. Only sick and stress discus hide. Healthy discus should come to the front of the tank when you approach them. ron
Luke*
hey nic yea i'd say more driftwood for hiding places if they are shy, perhaps add some peat, and they'll be loving the biotype nature of it
Matthew
I'm going to suggest you go with what you prefer. I would imagine that a nice feature plant would look great in the tank - but if you would prefer the open space go with that.
