Dixon1990
When do the frogs start hibernating? We have a pond outside with frogs that like around our garden, And havent seen anyfrogs for a while but we have 200+ 1-2cm tadpoles at the moment, I thought it was the wrong time of the year? Guest
I'm pretty sure that frogs just hibernate when it gets cold. As for tadpoles I think I read somewhere if they don't turn into frogs within a certain time they stay tadpoles until next breeding season or something like that. Dixon1990
Then how are they supposed to survive the frosts? The frogs hibernate and the tadpoles die?

repto
you can get `2 year tadpoles` but most succumb to the cold temps and die.
