Fmxmatt
So around 7 I noticed 1 of my Hydor Flos had stopped rotation. On closer inspection I noticed that some sort of guts had clogged it up and stopped it from turning. Did a head count and everyone was there except my 6line Wrasse. Didn't want to be concerned but I couldn't find another reason for there to be guts stuck in the flo. Just now i've seen a cleaner shrimp finishing off the wrasses carcass, with just its tail remaining. The only way that the wrasse could've got munched up is by swimming directly into the hydor flo. Suicide? Or Accident? Never heard of a Hydor Flo being a death trap for fish before?
davidb
I don't get you. how did it get into the hydor flow? What pump is the hydor flo it running on? The hydor flo doesn't have an intake so the sixline must have gome through the pump to get into the flo surely?
Fmxmatt
No impossible for it to get into the intake as the pump is inside a filterbox in the tank, unless of course something/one else decimated the poor guy and the guts got sucked up into the filter box? Or he timed a perfect jump to get into the filterbox? What i'm assuming is that he stuck his head into the hydor flo and it turned bad from there, as strange as it may seem

Fmxmatt
I'm not sure I think my remaining sea hare died aswel. Seems to have just vanished
jolliolli
my remaining sea hare also died this week, got sucked in to the overflow pipe and through the grating... luckily i have holes drilled in the pipe to stop it overflowing, i won't be replacing it though as seem to having this lemming like suicide tendency. If you're after a replacement 6 line there was one for sale at bubble and squeak on blenheim rd
Fmxmatt
Oh really? I think i'll wait until the new tank is up and running Did they have anything else interesting there? I'm supposed to be on their marine mailing list, but I guess they haven't bothered to email anything
