bulldogod
Has anyone tried breeding these two togeather ? In good sized enclosure??
davidb
why would you want to? Crickets are a waste of time if you are breeding them to feed, except as variety. They take way longer than locusts to develop and don't reach the same size. As to your question, I am not sure wether it would be possible or not, it would be more difficult if it was though when replacing egg cups etc as crickets take longer to hatch than locusts. Varanophile
crickets eat other bugs...however I have bred them together accidentally. main issue would be crickets eating locust eggs.
davidb
yes crickets even eat their own eggs. I put a grill across the top of the laying cups so the girls can put their ovipositors in but they can't eat the eggs!

bulldogod
hey David, do you have problem suppling grass(that sounds dodgy) in the winter for locusts.
