northland chic
I have a 7x2x2ft tank it has 2 oscars and a heap of silver dollars plus 2 angels in it. My knife fish is getting grumpy at the two geo suri's in his tank. Knifee's tank is 5x2x2ft it's just them a syno, pleco and talking catfish. Do you think I should move the geo's to the bigger tank? I'm worried about the oscars because although they have never bred they are good friends, they dig pits and guard them. I have never seen them show aggression towards each other But I worry that another hole digging cichlid might make them angry. Geo's are probably about 10cm oscars about double that. My only other tank is a 4ft community tank.I would love to make them their own tank but have none spare. I don't think it is a good idea, what's your thoughts on this? Thanks NC
Dixon1990
Put the knife in with the oscars and dollars. What type of knife is it>?
northland chic
Clown Knife about a foot long, I don't want to put him with the oscars because he can't compete with the 2 gut buckets for food. He was with them for a while when they were younger and it didn't go well.
Dixon1990
The geos should be alright with the oscars.
jayci
I got 10cm geos, I put in a 1cm golden barb in their tank and they never took notice of it. Maybe try them in the community tank.
David R
If your oscars are mellow enough they might get on with the geos in that big a tank. Or the clown knife may be able to compete for food a bit better now that its bigger.
