Scuba Sam
I was in the LFS on the weekend, and noticed that they have wooden cupboard door handles "glued" onto the glass tank lids to make them easier to handle. I need this for my new tank - its a nightmare getting the lids off. But I need some advice please - what sort of glue do I use? Do I use some sort of silicon? Your advice would be appreciated pls forum people - I am not the most practical person. Thanks, Sam
Faran
I would check with my local glass suppliers and see if I could get some of the glass pulgs left over when they drill holes. These are easily siliconed to the lids and provide a nice handle to use. There are many glues that you can use for adhering wood to glass but be sure and do your gluing and curing far away from the aquarium and give it lots of time to settle before using it. Pegasus
Use Glass Marbles. Fasten them on with a blob of silicone... will last forever. Long lids may require two marbles. Bill.
