Bilbo
I have a dose of Camellanus in my Apisto's. The most effective treatment I have found so far is Levimisole but after 3 hours on the phone with everyone from Massey University to Farmlands I have got no where. Its available in a drench mixed with a heap of other stuff. Does anyone have any? or know where its avaliable from? or does anyone know if any other effective treatment? evilknieval69
Tried your local vet? They should have a product called Avi-verm, which is a bird wormer, which is levamisole.
ryanjury
I thought prazi could deal with that? Win ring the SRVS ask to talk to the vet and explain the situation they are good there and happy to admit they don't know anything about treating fish and as long as you know what you want in what strenght and the dosage they shoud give it out and only charge a $5 dispensing fee.. Ask them to give you some and get some metro hit them with that at the same time If you wanted some metro to try that asap give me a yell I have a few tabs here you can borrow and get some more later. ryanjury
Also check here for avi-verm http://www.hippo.co.nz/1884,0,0.mel Although SRVS should have this too.
Bilbo
:-) I have spent 1/2 the day on the phone with every vet between levin and wanganui. The only helpful one was our local Bulls vet but even they havent come up with an answer. 5 minutes on here and Mr knieval got it. Shoulda known to ask here first. Thanks evilknieval69 and Ryan. sharn
Not sure if evils hooking you up or youve already got some but let me know if you havent as we can get it at our local vet usually (though the people say availability is sometimes an issue). Good luck with treating it, theres an article in one of 07's aquarium worlds with my experiences on treating it.
