Pearl Danio and Male Threadfin Rainbow

Not a problem, just wanted to share this.

I've got an adult male threadfin rainbow living in my community. Well I added 6 huge pearl danios on the weekend and oh my god. He went crazy! Big displays everywhere, constantly chasing them, and eventually biting them (despite the fact they're bigger and faster).

Ended up removing him for the sake of the Danios! Tank was a 200L 4 footer.

SpidersWeb, I had to look up the rainbow fish to see what they look like, very pretty fish!

Let us know if you managed to reintroduce him back into the tank. What other fish do you have in the tank & did he bother any of them?

Caper

Only the pearl danios, most likely due to colour. Never chased anything else, and never bitten another fish (even other threadfins).

They're normally a really peaceful fish.

He's in with 6 adult angels, and a pair of penguin (I think) tetras and two baby convicts that we couldn't catch. Unless he gets hurt in there he can stay there no problem.

Got the penguin tetras for a small tank, I figured they'd be the same attitude as neon tetras. Not the case. I've only got one male and one female now because they killed the rest, and have had to put them in with my bigger fish as they'll pick and harrass anything else

Put them in with the tank mentioned above, within 30 seconds of being introduced they'd already had a go at the baby convicts :o crazy agro lil fish.
