SparkyNat
I went shopping yesterday and brought 8 new fish. Got 2 silver dollars and im pretty sure its a pair male has red anal fin and female has plain anal fin (i think thats correct) they are bout 12cm. 4 tin foil barbs not sure on these but they bout 10cm+ each. 2 Veil tail angels i think they are very large and i think they are a pair as they are always together even in the tank i got them from were with others. Howe can you tell the sexes of these fish? are they easy to tell at all?

SpidersWeb
With angels its quite easy if they're fully grown, or near to it. Females are noticeably fatter and rounder in side-on-profile, and if in 'heat' have a large round 'thing' that sticks out below. Males are skinny, and have a short spikey 'thing', normally visible when near a female carrying eggs. Males also have a more angular profile. Sorry I'm at work and can't look up the correct terms and can't photo my own fish for ID. Hope that helps a little though. If they're babies you can't tell acurately IMO. With adults I haven't incorrectly identified angel sex since I worked out how to do it.
