shadowfax
just got a tank off trade me thats 1025cm long, 45cm wide & 78cm high. some of the glass is 9mm & some 10mm. looks solid but the bracing on top is loose & is only a piece on each end & none in the middle. im thinking of putting another strip in the middle & it has been used as a turtle tank & has a strip of glass inside the tank about 30cm down going from front to back that was to hold a shelf up. so im wondering if this would be ok to fill to about the 70cm mark? ryanjury
I would probably fix the bracing first.. However the shelf will add some strength.. Why is the tank some 9 and some 10mm glass.. Did you still need Steph to bring the poly over tomorrow?
shadowfax
thanks for the poly ryan, the 2 little bits i had are too busted up to use. not sure why the difference in glass size, the auction said 9 but it looked like 10 so i got the tape measure out to check & they are different. i might pull the bracing off the top & put some wider ones on.
