djsurfs
Hi lf, sorry I don't frequent this site much and didn't see your earlier post when your horse was sick!... I am not far from Whangarei, rural... I don't have any SH's to sell at the mo but we may be able to help eachother out sometimes? SH sitting, advice, ideas etc. I'll PM you my # if you want... Good luck with the search! I read the wildlife park in Tauranga had some ponies recently... BTW, what size tank do you have?
lf
Thanks for your support DJ. I've tried the wildlife park in Tauranga as he did say he had some I could buy but I havn't had any replies to the emails I sent him, nor the PMs. I'm rural too, don't go away often, but happy to help you out if you need a hand. lf
Hi Dj, still looking. I think I can get one in Tauranga, but thats a long drive. Not too keen to travel that far on my own :-? . How are yours going. I loved the pics you put up.
djsurfs
Yah, that is a long drive... & awe shucks!!! My friend ( an ex marine biologist) was just down there for the 1/2 ironman... maybe we could've had a delivery! I think there is a longboard surf event there next week... know anyone going down for that? Re: pics; thanks for the compliment My SH's are doing OK, though my hubby is getting annoyed with the big ugly rubbermaid tub out in the garage... I dunno if you saw, but my tank broke!! There is a thread about it here-->http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/tank-failure-anyone-else-out-there-have-it-happen-vt26650.html I am even thinking of parting with them; but don't get your hopes up too much yet! I am just so attached & am finding it difficult to give up... Perhaps we could meet up sometime and I could see your tank & set-up?
lf
I am so sorry to hear about your breakage. Missed that thread completely. I'm more than happy to help you out if you need me to horse sit them at my place until you are sorted out . Henry my pot belly would love to meet some new friends . I have a feeling we may have a friend in common as well. I'm currently at teachers col (senior student) and know of a new teacher who looked after some horses out your way. Of course I may be going down the wrong track here. If you do consider selling I am more than willing to have them. But I don't want to push you into anything. I know what you mean about being so attached. I had considered finding a new home for Henry, but I just love to watch him glide across the tank, then sink slowly down and attach to his fav hitch. My childrens friends find him irresistable as well. Absolutely fascinating. We are in the Whareora area and will be about for most of the summer as my hubby is booked in for a hip replacement in Feb. That leaves me to do the water collections and the farm stuff and the kid stuff. Lucky my study doesn't start until the beginning of March.
