chrisa
advice wanted aqua one verses fluval 204 I am using a fluval 204 at the moment on a 90 litre tank its been great. But just have bought a second hand 190 litre tank with a aqua one cs1000. I will be selling the 90 litre tank on but which filter is best to keep for the 190 litre tank and will I need extra aeration because its bigger. Any ideas, thoughts or advice welcome. smidey
i have a cf1200 & cf1000 & have not had any trouble at all in almost two years. I have a 200L tank which the cf1200 is on but i also have the hood filter running which gives an additional 900LPH which makes the water crystal clear. what species are you keeping? chrisa
I have neons, sterbai catfish, bristlenose, guppies and discus. I plan on getting more discus (If I can find some that is, at a reasonable price) which is why I wanted the bigger tank. I'll probably get rid of the guppies. smidey
i havn't had discus but i do know they need really good water conditions. I would have two filters on that tank.
jolliolli
yeah i agree smidey, i run a 300L tank with 5 adult discus which has the aqua one CF1200 and also an internal 1000Lph filter. I have found the aqua one really good and haven't had any problems, i also have a Via aqua 300 filter which is like an asian knockoff of the aqua one but its pretty crap. SpidersWeb
I'd keep the CF1000. ** As long as their is surface movement (e.g. water doesn't sit still), you wont need extra (or any) aeration. ** Edit: actually thats a lie, I'd keep BOTH
