Q re a holding E. Yellow

Hiya i have a couple of E. yellows holding and the one that has held the longest has 2 red spots above her top lip. Just wonder if it stretching or something else. Has anyone elses had this while holding?

Also should i strip her if it is serious?

Any thoughts/suggestions appericated!!!!

Yeah they sometimes get red marks around there, I don't know what it is, but as long as the fish is happy then don't worry about it...

THANK-YOU!!! This is what i have been serching for but could never find it, knew that i had seen it somewhere!!!!

I think she's only been holding a week, poss 10 days but her "throat" is definately darker. Actually managed to see the eggs at one stage but it was very quick!!!

Yeah the search function on this forum doesn't help its been down for ages and ages..

Id probably leave her a few days, I have stripped as early as a week before and tumbled them in a pasta sauce jar with an airstone and some meth blue But its soo much easier if you just strip them when they're ready or even put her in her own tank to spit naturally and then fatten her up stick her back up.

Hope it all works out for you, the only reason I know what to do is ive been there done the research and also experimented for myself You could also check cichlid-forum under malawi's the same question is asked and answered probably at least once daily
