Questions re: corys?

I've asked this in Freshwater but thought I'd post it here and a couple more questions as well :o

1)From what I've read so far, leftover flakes on the bottom is not enough, is this true? I'm really concerned about them getting enough food. Right now they are ok, because they are the only fish in the tank. So eating/food recommendations???

2)Do you still vacuum your gravel when you have corys? I was doing a water change and did a "light" go over of the gravel.

3) I read somewhere they are scaleless??? Just to be forewarned can they be treated with malafix (sorry think spelled wrong).

1, a veriaty in the diet is always a plus , some greens , pleco chips , blood worms is a good for them to.

2, Yes still vacuum the gravel it gets full of waste ( putting it politely ) too

3, they are fine to trat with malafix, they have "armour" rather than normal scales , without going into great details its things like clown loaches you need to be careful about treating.

Thanks

Paul

Hi Caper my cory-doras survive off flakes but they do get the occasional blood worm that gets to the bottom. Also when I put malafix in the tank they're fine and yes you do have to vaccum the gravel.

Hope this helps.
