fievels007
supposing the eggs survive the night and eventually hatch, how will the rams look after them in a community tank with a bristlenose bully? Will they try to eat them? Or do they only like the eggs? Should I put the eggs into a breeding net? Our breeding tank is not set up yet. Dixon1990
i would put the eggs(and the plant if the eggs are on one) in the brreding trap.
fievels007
so if I put the leaf and eggs into a breeding net/trap and place it near the outflow so they are well 'ventilated' all should be well?
fievels007
I have removed the eggs and placed them in a breeding net. i feel terrible!!! But best they survive than get gobbled by bristlenoses eh?
ljtan55
Rams make great parents actually, in my discus tank they were chasing off all the bigger fish (discus, saes, tetras, and whiptails) without any problem. Good luck with em
fievels007
My rams weren't having any luck chasing away my bristlenoses, they just weren't put off at all and several times I saw them on the leaf having a good meal. I will be getting my other tank set up tomorrow so I can separate them accordingly.
