sub.z
Ive got the heater at 22 degrees and the light doesnt come on often. The mercury(?) thermometer on the outside of the tank hardly shows up to be at 19. Should i just trust the heater?
HummingBird
I wouldn't trust a thermometer on the outside of the tank, it'll be affected by the air temperature too. Ideally you should have one or two thermometers in the actual tank to make sure the heater is doing it's job properly, and to verify the accuracy of each other. I wouldn't trust the heater myself, they can often be off by a fair bit.
