Krib Fry

My Kribs have fry. I'm besotted with them as this is the first time. Mum and Dad are doing a great job and although they're in a community tank, Mum and Dad are not letting anyone else close. The fry seem to be foraging about for food but is there something I should be feeding them? And what about water changes, I don't want to suck them up!!!

Thanks very much, I feel like the proud parent too . Although most of you are used to new fry, I'm just really stoked to have them and have spent ages watching the little family get around the tank. Prior to this I've only had baby Swords and some unsuccessful Angel eggs so this is really exciting. Of course the next thing is if they survive waht am I going to do with them all!!??

Its always a proud moment when you realise you have your first fry from a certain species!

I had a pair of kribs in a large community tank with about 20 odd other fish, and i just left them too it when they had young. It was an extensively planted tank, and the parents just led the 'kids' around through the plants etc picking away at the leftovers etc. They also defended them if something came close, but never did any harm to anything. i ended up with about 20 left in the end, the others would have been eaten, sucked into the filter, or whatever.... not a huge survival rate but its not like i wanted heaps!

Good luck with them. if it a well setup tank with lots of other fish and stuff their should be enough crud on the bottom for them to pick away at
