Cricketman Posted August 19, 2007 Report Share Posted August 19, 2007 looks awesome man, so jelous about now, though give me a couple months and i might be similair lol though i dont get y ppl buy driftwood, i was told to get sum from the beach, then put in a bucket and change the water everyday 4 a week, or more dependin on the size... sorry if im wrong but student life, gotta try get the most bang... err, driftwood, for your buck... davidb Posted August 25, 2007 Author Report Share Posted August 25, 2007 Thought I might throw up a price list of stuff so far for the tank for peole interested. 4 ft Tank and stand- $60 (Needed alot of work, painting etc) 4 ft 2x20W light - $125 AquaOne CF1200 filter- $130 300W heater- $20 25 kg of sand- $20 two big pieces of bogwood- $60 small piece of bogwood- $15 Anubias plants (x6) - $30 XL Java fern (x2) - $15 Java moss - $10 Glowlight tetras (x15) - $35 Neon tetras (x15) - $30 thats it so far... Should be fine, all the fun of clown loaches but dont outgrow your tank. Get several, they are a very social fish (like the clowns) and like to play together. I have some in a tank with a small pleco and neons, no problems. Your tank is looking very cool, especially for the cost.
