eben
This is another one of the todo's on my list. I've read quite a bit about it online already and I have a pretty good idea on how to make these. The question I have is whats the best way to seal it? Concrete or epoxy resin? Has anybody done this and why would I use one method over the other? How much time does this take up too?
Faran
fishy_t did his rock sculptures in poly with a concrete shell and they had a hard time keeping it submerged until he took out a lot of ply from inside. I'd recommend concrete over epoxy as it's simply heavier so you'll be able to keep it down easier. Then there's the age old question of what pH are you going for? epoxy will be neutral and concrete will keep your pH high... for a while, at least. eben
It's an African tank, Tangs to be more specific, so a high PH is probably not a problem I was thinking of siliconing the thing in place anyways.
HaNs
Just poor petrol over the poly and it melts it. Them just clean off the petrol and put in a pool or something and let it leach...thats my plan
