Lady-Lene
I overdosed my tank a while back with Algae Fix (lost my harlequins in the process) But the good news is that I have no more snails! The shells turned white and 6 weeks later ... still no snails! Hooray - what a bonus!
HummingBird
It probably has copper in it, which kills invertebrates.
SpidersWeb
AlgaeFix is a horrible product. I'll never use it again. Removes oxygen from the water, and even at half dose, I was lucky I had some spare air pumps at hand or I would have lost my fish. Didn't kill my algae either. Flourish Excel worked though. HummingBird
Yeah, and it's better to remove the cause of the algae in any case.
Lady-Lene
Yep - I'll never use it in the tank again either. But thought since I had to learn 'the hard way' it was nice to have sumptin good come of it
