Dixon1990 Posted March 10, 2007 Report Share Posted March 10, 2007 Hi every one our snakeskin gourami has been jumping out of his tank recently during the night.This morning i found him in my axolotl tank but he is alrite now. anyone know why he could be doing this? He is in with a monnlight gourami 2 angels that i think are spawning a surinamensis 1 pleco 1 BN and 1 Chinese algae eater. There is quite a power flow in there because the filters real power ful. snookie Posted March 10, 2007 Report Share Posted March 10, 2007 what size are the fish ? is there away of slowing the flow of filter ? as gouramis , dont like turbulant water much . maybe moonlight is pushing him out ?? , what size is tank (for territories etc ) , also a top would be an idea to keep ambient temp the same as water , as gouramis need to breath atmospheric air (labaryinth fish ) gouramis,bettas, etc.. All the fish are about the same size, 10cm plus. ive got the filter set on as low as it can go too but still a bit powerful. Tank is 90cm X 40cm X 40cm. snookie Posted March 10, 2007 Report Share Posted March 10, 2007 have you stil got the different nozzles? there is one that diverts water on the surface you could turn nozzle to back of tank . thats what i did to mine any way and it stoped the rapids !!
