k8
Our 2yo Platy is blind! He has some very slight clouding over his eyes - but one of my younger platys has worse clouding, but no probs with her vision. His poo is pale and stringy... but maybe that is a result of his diet of algae tabs? (it's the only food that stays still long enough for him to find and eat it). He survived an unknown illness a month ago where his spine got bent, had a paralysed tail, swam about like a drunkard, and sank like a stone whenever he wasn't swimming. Is there anything we can do to bring his sight back? Any ideas what is causing the clouding of all their eyes? -Thanks heaps!
sharn
cloudy eyes can be a sign of bacterial problems or a water indicator. im not sure how long platties are supposed to live for these days so im not sure if old age would be causing him to go blind or not. white stringy poop isnt a good sign, even with a diet of algae wafers you would expect to see some colouring to his poops :-? have a look thru the recent posts on 'hexamita' on here or do a google and see if you think that fits his description for his feaces he definatly sounds like one tough cookie, i hope he pulls thru!
