jolliolli Posted February 18, 2007 Report Share Posted February 18, 2007 Hey Guys. Need one of these hansen fittings to block a sum hole in the bottom of my tank. Just a few questions about Them, 1. Where can they be obtained in chch? 2. In regards to silicon. How much is required,do you silicon the whole thing over? pr just around the seals? Do you use threading tape for the nuts to cap the end? do you use polu washers or the supplied rubber ones? any advice on this is welcomed. WEKA Posted February 18, 2007 Report Share Posted February 18, 2007 Irrigation Warehouse in ChCh are a cheap source of these and most other pvc fittings. I used just a smear of silicon on each face of the supplied gaskets to lock the fitting in place as much as anything as the seals are very good.
