JDM
sorry i dont have a pump spare, but just out of intrest, what sort of skimmer is it? seems unusal to have a air pump, unless it is one of the airstone skimmers, but these dont need 2500ltrs per hour. davidb
I assumed It needed an air-pump because it has a airtube out from where the water is pumped in... I don't know what brand it is but it looks like this, except it is taller
dhindry
It will use the tube like a siphon to suck the air in, pretty much the same as mine.
Bubbles
Looks like a Berlin to me, but it's a bit tricky to tell from the picture. I don't think you'd need an air-pump for it, it automatically sucks air in through the tube. There should be a screw that constricts the airline tube, this will control the amount of air intake for the skimmer. Hope that helps. suphew
If it's a berlin, or berlin style you will need a bigger pump that 2500lph, I used to run my berlin using a lugna 7 pumping round 8000lph, that was over kill but you still need to aim far higher than the manual says, 4000lph would be about right I think. Jetskisteve was selling some needlewheel pumps, to convert a berlin you just need to remove the venturi and attach the pump. IMO this would be the best option. Bubbles
I am able to borrow an eheim so thats sorted now Good stuff. I use an eheim with mine and it works well. These skimmers seem to prefer high pressure output pumps.
