My one legs were falling off and it was in the light all day and even stopped accepting food for about two weeks. I put it in the sump (which must have food in it ), is is 24 hour pitch black. (no light) it was in there for about 2-3 months.... cause i forgot about it   (during this time it lived right under where my fresh water top up water goes) Took it out three days ago and into the main tank and its happy and feeding well again.
