Scuba Sam
Hi there, I was given a few livebearers over the weekend, and the beautiful silver long finned Molly male has a gill cover missing. No sign of recent injury, fish seems ok. Any ideas or comments please?
herefishiefishie
Maybe a birth defect. Frenchy
Scuba Sam
Thanks - that seems to be the consensus from other people I have asked. He certainly looks happy and healthy swimming around. Without getting into a big debate about breeding strategies, is it likely his offspring will have the same defect? Thanks, Sam
herefishiefishie
Without getting into a big debate Well.... Just try & see. If the young look bad then get rid of them & the parent. Frenchy
