davidb Posted December 26, 2006 Report Share Posted December 26, 2006 depends- what do you wanna keep- nano's are harder to keep than big tanks though as there is alot less water thus alot more room for error, as there is less stability.(stability is the wrong word but you know what I am trying to say.) Skimmers remove ALOT of crap from the water. Without one, you just need to do regular water changes, ie. Weekly to twice weekly depending on sizes.... The more the better realy.... I have a 50 odd litre tank now and i havent got a skimmer running on it ATM and its going good, but i plan to put a skimmer on it soon. It just removes alot of nutrients from the water, making the water 'cleaner' and giving the algae less nutrients to feed on..... HTH Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
