evilknieval69
Nano is another word for small A nano tank is a small tank. Anything up to 100L's or so (in my books anyways) would be a small tank, therefore being a nano HTH

Gannet
ok so if u get like a 20-30L nano do u need a skimmer?
davidb
depends- what do you wanna keep- nano's are harder to keep than big tanks though as there is alot less water thus alot more room for error, as there is less stability.(stability is the wrong word but you know what I am trying to say.) evilknieval69
Yes true, but i thought that cos he put it in the saltwater section he musta meant salt  Um, I had a 30L nano without a skimmer, and it went alright. Skimmers remove ALOT of crap from the water. Without one, you just need to do regular water changes, ie. Weekly to twice weekly depending on sizes.... The more the better realy.... I have a 50 odd litre tank now and i havent got a skimmer running on it ATM and its going good, but i plan to put a skimmer on it soon. It just removes alot of nutrients from the water, making the water 'cleaner' and giving the algae less nutrients to feed on..... HTH
